Description

The purpose of the summer institute is to design standards-based lesson plans with enough clarity and focus for teachers to 1) test and fit new ideas, and 2) predict success.  These lessons will be effective in traditional or videoconferencing classrooms. Classroom improvement and distance learning strategies share overlapping goals.

Many of the same strategies and design elements that make lessons succeed in the live distance learning classrooms are successful in regular classrooms. Lessons that effectively plan the use of these overlapping strategies and design elements, while integrating academics and research-based strategies, are the focus of this course.

In addition to collaborating with your peers, there will be plenty of help available to help you generate ideas and design your lessons. There will also be equipment set up for practice and present your session.  If you're willing to roll up your sleeves and engage in this work, YOU WILL SUCCEED.

Who's coming (list)?

CTE teachers, language arts teachers, and math teachers, all supported by a 4-person instructional team.  What an amazing group!
